Greetings, my name is Sgt. Keith F. Lazaron II, and I proudly serve as a dedicated member of the Manor Township Police Department. In my role, I am responsible for being the designated School Resource Officer (SRO) for Lenape Technical High School. As an SRO, I am entrusted with a critical role beyond traditional law enforcement duties.

 

The importance of School Resource Officers cannot be understated, as they play a pivotal role in fostering a safe and conducive learning environment for students, teachers, and staff. One of the cornerstones of my role is building strong and positive relationships within the school community. I firmly believe that trust and understanding are the bedrock of effective community policing efforts. I can bridge the gap between law enforcement and the educational environment by forming connections with students and staff. These relationships enhance communication channels and facilitate a sense of security and comfort for all stakeholders.

 

As a bridge between law enforcement and education, I am dedicated to promoting security measures beyond mere enforcement. My presence in the school is meant to provide reassurance, promote preventive measures, and encourage open dialogue about safety concerns. This proactive approach ensures that potential issues are addressed before they escalate, contributing to an environment where learning and personal growth can thrive unimpeded.

 

Furthermore, an essential aspect of my role involves community policing efforts. I am a partner and resource for the school community, available not just during times of crisis but also as a mentor and guide for students navigating the complexities of adolescence. By fostering a positive and approachable image of law enforcement, I aim to inspire trust and cooperation, making students feel comfortable seeking assistance when needed.
